Официальное название
Neoadjuvant Angiogenesis-Targeting Bispecific Chemoimmunotherapy for TNBC (NeoASPECT)
Обзор
This study will test the effectiveness of two standard neoadjuvant chemotherapy regimens plus an investigational drug (ivonescimab) that has dual action as both immunotherapy and therapy targeting the tumor's blood supply. This investigational drug is called ivonescimab.
Подробное описание
The standard treatment for women with high-risk early-stage triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) includes chemotherapy plus immunotherapy (chemo-immunotherapy) given before surgery, followed by surgery, with or without radiation therapy. Patients whose tumor have low immune cell infiltration have lower response to chemoimmunotherapy and higher cancer recurrence rates. On the other hand, patients whose tumors have high immune infiltration have high response to chemoimmunotherapy and low rates of cancer recurrence and thus may not need 6 months of neoadjuvant therapy with multiple drugs. To improve outcomes for TNBC patients, we need better treatment agents, as well as ways to tailor treatment to minimize side effects.
