Официальное название
Effectiveness of Kinesiology Taping in Patients With Acute Low Back Pain
Обзор
This prospective, randomized controlled trial will investigate the effectiveness of adding Kinesiology Taping (KT) to a standard physiotherapy program in individuals with acute non-specific low back pain. A total of 30 participants diagnosed with acute non-specific low back pain will be randomly allocated to either an experimental group receiving standard physiotherapy combined with lumbar Kinesiology Taping or a control group receiving standard physiotherapy alone. Both groups will receive treatment three times per week for six weeks, totaling 18 treatment sessions. Outcome assessments will be performed at baseline and after completion of the intervention. Pain intensity will be evaluated using the Numeric Pain Rating Scale (NPRS), functional disability using the Roland-Morris Disability Questionnaire (RMDQ), flexibility using the sit-and-reach test, trunk lateral flexion, and trunk extension tests, and health-related quality of life using the Short Form-36 (SF-36). The primary objective of this study is to determine whether the addition of Kinesiology Taping to a standard physiotherapy program provides greater improvements in pain, functional disability, flexibility, and quality of life than standard physiotherapy alone in individuals with acute non-specific low back pain. The findings are expected to contribute to the evidence regarding the clinical effectiveness of Kinesiology Taping as an adjunctive treatment for acute low back pain.
Вмешательства
- Другое kinesiologic taping
Kinesiology Taping will be applied to the lumbar region by a certified physiotherapist in addition to the standard physiotherapy program. The taping technique will be standardized for all participants in the experimental group and will be renewed according to the treatment protocol throughout the 6-week intervention period. - Другое standard physiotherapy
The standard physiotherapy program will consist of conventional physiotherapy modalities and therapeutic exercises administered three times per week for 6 weeks (18 sessions). The program will be standardized and delivered by licensed physiotherapists.
