This study aims to evaluate the screening performance of the DETAIL and IBIS-Q questionnaires followed by musculoskeletal ultrasound (MSUS) for the early detection of spondyloarthritis in patients previously diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is frequently associated with extraintestinal manifestations, with spondyloarthritis (SpA) being the most common. Early detection is crucial to prevent structural damage. This prospective study will screen consecutive adult patients with IBD using the DETAIL and IBIS-Q questionnaires. Patients will then undergo a comprehensive clinical and musculoskeletal ultrasound (MSUS) assessment to evaluate the incremental diagnostic value of ultrasound in detecting early and subclinical SpA.

    All patients will be screened using the DETAIL and IBIS-Q questionnaires, followed by a comprehensive musculoskeletal ultrasound (MSUS) assessment.

  • Prevalence of undiagnosed spondyloarthritis [Срок оценки: At the time of clinical evaluation (up to 12 months)]

Критерии участия

Критерии включения

Adult Aged 18 years old or more Confirmed diagnosis of IBD (by established clinical, endoscopic, and histopathological criteria).

Patient provides informed written consent to participate

Критерии исключения

Known, pre-existing diagnosis of Spondyloarthritis or any other concomitant systemic autoimmune rheumatic disease.

Severe secondary osteoarthritis or major joint trauma/surgery mimicking SpA. Cognitive impairment or communication barriers preventing comprehension or completion of questionnaires
