Official title

Comparative Effects of Closed Kinetic Chain Exercises and Thrower's Ten Exercises on Pain, Mobility and Performacne in Glenohumeral Instability Among Bowlers

Overview

The study is randomized and single-blinded. Ethical approval is taken from ethical committee of Riphah International University, Lahore. Participants who meet the inclusion criteria will be enrolled and allocated in group A \& B through sealed envelope method by Non-probability Convenient random sampling technique. Subjects in Group A will receive closed kinetic chain exercises. Group B will receive thrower's ten exercises.

Detailed description

This study will be a randomized clinical trial duration of study will be 10 months.

Data will be collected by convenient sampling technique from Pakistan cricket board. Three outcome measures will be compared by using different tools pain is measured by NPRS, mobility is measured by goniometer and performance is measured by upper limb rotation test .pre and post assessment is done Participants are divided into two groups group A undergoes closed kinetic chain exercise , group B undergoes throwers ten exercise observed values will be analyzed by using SPSS 27 software

Interventions

  • Other closed kinetic chain exercises
The group participated in 6 weeks of training session lasting for 45-50 minutes. The individual was positioned standing with the elbow joint completely extended, palm on the wall, and shoulder flexion at a 90° angle
  • Other thrower's ten exercises
Throwers ten exercise are used to improve strength and endurance of rotator cuff muscles and scapular stabilizers, pre and post assessment is done as my study will be randomized clinical trial , 5-10 minutes of warm up , 45 minutes of resistance training and 5-10 minutes of cool down is added.

Primary outcome measures

  • Pain measure through NPRS [Time frame: Pre and 6 week post interventional]
  • Mobility measure through Goniometry [Time frame: Pre and 6 week post interventional]
  • performance measure through upper limb rotation test [Time frame: Pre and 6 week post interventional]
