Longitudinal Study on Physical Growth in Children After Liver Transplantation
Overview
A single-center, large-sample, long-term longitudinal study was conducted to explore the trends and characteristics of changes in growth, development in pediatric liver transplant recipients, with the aim of guiding the development of intervention strategies and optimizing follow-up protocols.
Primary outcome measures
- BMI Z-score [Time frame: 1 week before liver transplantation; 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, 3 years, and 5 years after liver transplantation]
Secondary outcome measures (1)
- Overall survival [Time frame: 1 week before liver transplantation; 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, 3 years, and 5 years after liver transplantation]
Eligibility criteria
Inclusion criteria
- Children with end-stage liver disease of various etiologies requiring liver transplantation.
- Approved by the ethics committee, and written informed consent has been obtained from the parents/legal guardians.
- Age ≤ 1 year (infancy).
Exclusion criteria
- Age older than 1 year old.
- Accept liver kidney combined transplantation surgery or second liver transplantation surgery.
