Overview
The main purpose of this research is to test the validity and reliability of the "Exercise Health Beliefs Attitude Scale" (EYSİTÖ), developed by Caz, Paktaş and Yazıcı (2023) for adult individuals, in geriatric individuals aged 65 and over.
Detailed description
Testing whether the EYSITÖ (Emotional Belief-Behavior Scale) provides accurate and consistent results in the geriatric group is a scientific necessity. This study aims to address the lack of a suitable measurement tool in this field by revealing the psychometric properties of the EYSITÖ for geriatric individuals. Furthermore, examining the correlation between the scores obtained from the scale and the results of the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ), an internationally accepted objective measurement tool, will contribute to the criterion-related validity of the study and allow for a clearer understanding of the belief-behavior relationship in the elderly.
Interventions
- Other Reliability and validation
Data will be collected by researchers using a face-to-face interview technique with participants. To minimize potential difficulties in reading comprehension for geriatric individuals, the survey questions will be read aloud by the researcher, and the participant's answers will be marked on the form. Each interview is expected to last approximately 15-20 minutes. Before data collection, participants will be informed of the purpose of the research, and the "Informed Consent Form" will be read and
