Barriers and Facilitators to Nursing Record With AI Technology Application: A Mixed Methods Study Using the Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research

Overview

The goal of this study is to examine the facilitators and barriers to the comprehensive implementation of AI technology in nursing documentation. The main questions it aims to answer are: What are facilitators to the comprehensive implementation of AI technology in nursing documentation? What are barriers to the comprehensive implementation of AI technology in nursing documentation? What strategies can help to fully utilize artificial intelligence technology in nursing documentation?

Interventions

  • Behavioral AI-based technologies systems to assist with nursing record
    The AI information system is the Clinical Care Information Systems Platform accessible via mobile devices.

Primary outcome measures

  • The pragmatic context assessment tool [Time frame: one year (2025/04/01-2026/05/31)]
Secondary outcome measures (1)
  • Organizational Readiness of Implementing Evidence-Based Practices [Time frame: one year (2025/04/01-2027/05/31)]

Eligibility criteria

Inclusion criteria

  • Nurses assigned to ward

Exclusion criteria

  • Nurses without record-keeping task
  • Those assigned to intensive care units, emergency room, or operating rooms
