Overview

The purpose of this observational study is to understand the impact of polypharmacy on the prognosis of elderly patients with chronic diseases. The main research question it aims to address is: Does polypharmacy affect the prognosis of elderly patients with chronic diseases? Elderly patients with chronic diseases will be asked to complete online survey questions regarding their disease prognosis over a 2-year period.

Primary outcome measures

  • Assessing the current status of polypharmacy in elderly patients with chronic diseases in Shaanxi Province via cluster sampling questionnaire survey [Time frame: Start from enrollment to the end of the study at 2 years.]

Eligibility criteria

Inclusion criteria

  • Patients aged 65 years or older with at least one chronic disease

Exclusion criteria

  • Patients without chronic diseases
  • Patients refused to participate in the study
  • Patients with unstable vital signs
